A Family Engagement Session | Portrait Photographer |

Love is a beautiful thing!”

It makes engagement sessions one of our favorite things to capture here at Couch Adventures Photography. We take great joy and pride in being involved at the beginning of a couple’s new chapter in life. This past spring, we gifted one of our Engagement Photo Shoots to our online scavenger hunt winner. The prize included a $250 two-hour portrait session with an 8x10 and a 5x7 print, an additional $135 value. What a pleasant surprise when I found out that one of my studio team members, Rubi Gonzalez, had won! Rubi is a fantastic makeup artist who assists me in many of my sessions. She works hard to help make so many of my shoots go smoothly. I was thrilled to give her the chance to be the center of attention!

Rubi and her fiancé, Hector Medina, scheduled their mid-September session at our new studio in The Woodlands. The couple asked if they could have a few family pictures taken with their children, two-year-old Emma Sophia and eight-year-old Kenzie. Since we believe that the best photos come from having clients be involved in planning their sessions, we were happy to accommodate them. When the family arrived, I went over different poses to incorporate into their session. Together we chose what made them most excited and feel most comfortable, ensuring they would love their final look. We helped create their “look” by using two different backgrounds and having fun with our shoot.

Two hours can be a long time for young subjects to focus and have fun, so we kept Emma Sophia and Kenzie happy and cooperative by entertaining them with Disney Plus while I photographed the adults- we will use any tricks to make sure your session is as stress-free as possible!

Rubi and Hector came back two weeks later to view the finished product at their design session. Both were delighted with how the photos turned out and are excited to use them as their engagement announcement. The pictures of the whole family were outstanding and will be a wonderful memory in the future.

Congratulations and Best Wishes, Rubi and Hector (and Kenzie and Emma Sophia)! Thank you for letting us be part of your family’s journey- we hope it will be as beautiful as you!
